Meishan pigs are an important heritage breed that is known for their tasty flavor! They are known for their excellent meat quality. You’ll find that their meat looks more red than regular pork and it naturally has a nice marbling to it. Meishan’s are a lard pig, so you will get excellent quality fat to use if that’s your thing.

How are they fed?

Our pigs are fed a non-GMO ration of corn and soy that is grown locally around the farm. The pigs are raised on pasture for constant foraging opportunities. During the growing season they will get extra goodies from the garden, and sometimes they even get a heap of spent barley from a local brewery.

Reserve Your Share

We require a $150 deposit to reserve a half share (If you would like a whole hog select two halves at checkout). The deposit is applied to the final price of $6.00/lb hanging weight. In the event that you need to back out of your share the customer will forfeit their deposit.

Pork shares are available at limited times throughout the year. This batch is set for a harvest date in October 25, 2025.
