Hello from the site of the National Colonial Farm in Accokeek, Maryland. The heritage breed program here has been a part of our organization at the Accokeek Foundation for over 60 years. We have supplied cattle, sheep, and hogs for locations such as Mount Vernon and George Washington’s Birthplace. One of our cows was even featured on the heritage breed postage stamp!
Today we are offering a few cows for sale who were exposed to a registered bull out of Richard Larson’s blue-ribbon stock. The bull was in the pasture for over 4 months and all of these cows have consistently birthed for years.
