Tamarack Vermont Sheep Farm is in transition, with our fantastic long-time farm manager transitioning out in late summer, and a variety of possible roles can be made available. The incoming team member could be someone interested in managing the farm, acting as assistant manager, becoming a partner and owner of the farm, purchasing a portion of the flock and relocating the business, or simply serving as a farmhand. The farm has a terrific assistant farm manager who is happy to stay on, is flexible regarding the evolution of his role, and is interested in seeing how the situation will evolve.
Tamarack is a commercial sheep farm focused on Tunis and Dorset horn; based in Corinth, Vermont; with between 200 and 400 head at any given time; and managing 150 acres of grassland. It is a self sustaining business with a customer base, vendor relationships, and established markets. An associated wool business is also available to be further developed.
