Heritage Livestock Conference Scholarships

Through the continued generosity of the Gordon Family Foundation, other private donors and board members,

Qualifications
To qualify, you must: 
~Be a Livestock Conservancy member in good standing at the time of application;
~Require economic assistance in order to attend the conference;
~Submit an application
~Be willing to share your experiences from the conference in the form of an article
for The Livestock Conservancy News.

Application Process
Scholarship applications must be received no later than Oct 1st, 2017, and scholarship winners will be notified no later than August 31, 2017. Applications will be reviewed by committee and awarded based on financial need, contributions to rare breed conservation, and potential to give back to the field.

To be considered for the scholarship, please provide the following information to The Livestock Conservancy:
1. Name
2. Mailing address
3. Telephone
4. Email address

5. An essay of no more than 500 words that describes:

  • Why you want to attend the conference
  • Why you are applying for the scholarship
  • What your current involvement with rare breeds is
  • How you will use or share with others what you learn at the conference
  • How you are financing the remaining costs
  • Anything else we should know about you.

For Scholarship Recipients
Recipients will need to make their own travel plans to attend the conference. In order for recipients to receive reimbursements for that travel, receipts and article need to be turned in no later than December 1st, 2017 for 2017 Conference.
